You get into bed after a long, stressful day.
Your body is tired. Your eyes are heavy.
All you want is to close your eyes and disappear into sleep.
But the moment your head touches that pillow…
your brain comes alive.
Suddenly, you’re thinking about that conversation from earlier.
Then tomorrow’s plans.
Then that problem you haven’t solved. Then something that happened three months ago.
Then another random thought.
Then another.
One thought becomes ten.
Ten becomes twenty.
And before you know it…
you’re still awake.
You turn to the left.Turn to the right. Pull the blanket over yourself. Throw it off.
Check the time.
Put your phone down.
Pick it up again.
Close your eyes.
Open them.
And ask yourself:
“Why can’t I just sleep?”
